OSG Policy Statement for UTA_SWT2 cluster

The UTA_SWT2 cluster is operated by the University of Texas at Arlington High Energy Physics department as a resource for the ATLAS experiment as part of the USATLAS computing effort. As part of the OpenScienceGrid initiative, we are making excess cycles available to the Virtual Organizations registered in the OSG.

The cluster is funded by the ATLAS experiment and the scheduling policy reflects this as jobs submitted by ATLAS users always have precedence over jobs from other VO's. When ATLAS can not keep the cluster full the excess cycles are available to other OSG VO's. Among the other VO's the following limits are in place:

  • We are supporting the Full privilege model
  • Jobs are limited to 24 hours of walltime during execution
  • Fair-share scheduling is in place between non-ATLAS VO's
  • Jobs submitted by a single VO can be priortized
